Who Am I?

Who am I?
I am Black.
I am woman.
I am educated.
I am beautiful.
Who am I?

Who am I?
I am the blackness that felt your fury.
I am the female that is not worthy.
I am the class you put below humanity.
I am the pigment you deem dirty.
Who am I?

Who am I?
I am the strength of bravery.
I am the future for equality.
I am the intelligence bred from the education I sought.
I am the queen to the temple I bought.
Who am I?

Who am I?
I am the blank shadow you whipped.
I am the body you claimed.
I am the book left unlettered.
I am the body you raped.
Who am I?

Who am I?
I am the color of change.
I am the one destined for equal exchange.
I am the insight we require.
I am the vision to inspire.
Who am I?

Who am I?
I am the soul you slaughtered.
I am the innocence you captured.
I am the brain left to rotted.
I am face no longer spotted.
Who am I?

Who am I?
I am melanin.
I am a goddess.
I am astute.
I am prepossessing.
Who am I?

Who am I?
I am the change.
